The Hollywood Bowl outing is my favorite event with Guide Dogs for the Blind, both puppies in training and working guide dogs. We start the evening with a bus ride on the Park and Ride buses to Hollywood Bowl. Then get together for a picnic. Then make our way to our seats. It’s lots of walking, crowds and noise. The pups did great – the humans handled it very well too 🙂
Thank you to Shavonn and Trisha for starting this event and keeping it going. I had lots of fun taking this on myself this year. Thank you to all of the attendees for making the event a total success.
Enjoy the pictures. I have one regret, I failed to take a table picture of my own “family”, the Donlan’s who’s working Guide Dog, Elbert was raised by me. I just couldn’t believe it as I was reviewing the pictures this morning. I am so sorry 😦

inWhat a great day for a walk. Nice group of people, many with their Guide Dogs, Guide Dog Puppies in Training and their pet dogs. Walking down on the Angel Stadium field is a different perspective of where the game is played. By the time we were done, all of the dogs were worn out as were the people. Called for napping for the rest of the day. Join us for the next one in 2016!

inThis year the Fun Day was heald in San Diego Seaside Village. What a beautiful day. Cool breeze and light sunshine. Thank you to all who put this location together – good job!!
This was also a time to meet puppy siblings who also attended. Buckley met his sisters Bella and Brianna. Kent met Kendall.
Margaret received her new puppy Rhubarb. Rhubarb will be started with another club and then join Margaret and Rod in a few months after she has had all of her shots. Very cute little girl.

inI took pictures of all of my passengers on the bus for GDB San Diego Fun Day 4-25-15. The puppies and their raisers would enter the bus, choose a seat and help their puppy to go safely under the seat. If the bus is crowded and your puppy is in the middle of the aisle that is difficult for other people to get on the bus and keeps the paws and tails from being stepped on.
I won’t know the names of each puppy but you can tell who they if you can identify the legs of the human 🙂
